Call to writers and artists:

We look for the most compelling work from new and emerging talent for each issue--send us your best!

Please pay close attention to the submission guidelines:

We now accept electronic submissions using the Submittable system. We still accept submissions by regular mail. We do not accept submissions via fax or email.

Please send one submission at a time, no multiple submissions.

Simultaneous submissions are acceptable, but please let us know immediately if your submission is accepted elsewhere.

We are only interested in previously unpublished works. Your work must not have been published elsewhere (this includes your personal website or blog).

We recommend that you include a cover letter, along with some biographical information when you submit your manuscript or artwork. It should also include your name, address, e-mail address, and a telephone number where you can be reached.

Please allow for up to 6 months to respond to submissions.

We buy First Serial Rights; nonexclusive, and one-time anthology rights. Your work will also remain archived online.

Authors proof their galleys and receive 2 copies of the issue in which their work appears.

All manuscripts are carefully considered. Due to the large number of submissions, we regret that we cannot comment on every manuscript.

All proceeds received from submissions go directly to the orphanage we are working with at the time.
